Bhuvi Venture Labs

For investors and funds

Give your portfolio an India advantage.

Bhuvi partners with investors and their portfolio companies to unlock India's technology talent, engineering economics and market opportunity — so that every founder isn't independently figuring out India from scratch.

The problem

The India question arrives one founder at a time

In most portfolios it goes like this. One company, under hiring pressure, picks an offshore vendor at speed. It half-works. Eighteen months later the next company repeats the entire exercise, and learns the same lessons again.

The portfolio pays several times over for the same knowledge, and nobody accumulates it.

Three audiences, one relationship

Where an India partner earns its place in a portfolio

For portfolio companies looking to build

We help them establish engineering, product or AI capability in India without immediately building their own India organisation. Starting small is the point: a two-person pod is a real option, and build–operate–transfer keeps the door open to owning it later.

For portfolio companies looking to grow

We help evaluate India as a market — buyers, pricing, regulation, localisation — and establish the partnerships and local capability entering it requires. Including, where it's the right answer, concluding that India is not their next market.

For the fund

Bhuvi can act as an India partner across the portfolio: one relationship, consistent diligence on the India question, and a place to send founders who raise it. We're happy to run sessions for several companies, or to be on hand for the ones where it's live.

The offer

Bhuvi India Opportunity Session

A no-cost working session for your portfolio companies.

Ninety minutes with one of your companies, or a workshop across several. We go through four questions and leave them with a written view — whether or not it leads anywhere with us.

Build in India

Which functions could benefit from an India capability, and which clearly shouldn't move?

AI & technology

Where could an India engineering pod genuinely accelerate the roadmap in the next two quarters?

Enter India

Is there a credible Indian market for this product, and what would validating that cost?

Partner in India

Are there strategic partnerships — technology, distribution or domain — worth exploring?

Why us

We've built in India ourselves.

Our leadership has spent decades building technology, products and companies from India, including enterprise technology deployed inside highly regulated financial institutions. We bring that operating experience to companies looking to build their own India advantage.

  • 25+ years — Technology leadership across Oracle, Schneider Electric and Thoughtworks, including multi-country offshore delivery and GCC operations.
  • Enterprise products, built from India — Including Crediwatch, a Bengaluru-built credit and risk intelligence platform used inside banks and financial institutions in India.
  • Banking & fintech delivery — Real-time credit decisioning and audit platforms built to the governance, audit and data-handling standards the sector requires.
  • AI, data and engineering — An engineering practice spanning AI/ML, data and backend engineering and test automation, with two granted US patents among the team.
  • Teams built and run in India — Recruited, onboarded, managed and scaled — for global enterprises, for our own ventures, and now for clients.

Being straight about what we are

  • Engagements are contracted with Bhuvi Venture Labs LLP, incorporated in India, under Indian law. We have no European, UK or US entity today, and we say so early rather than at procurement. Where a committed client requirement exists, we will establish one.
  • No ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification yet. Data processing agreements, transfer terms, audit and inspection rights, subcontractor disclosure and exit plans are all agreed contractually.
  • Client teams are never shared — with each other or with our own ventures — and IP is assigned to the client under the contract.
  • We build and back our own ventures. Any conflict gets named before an engagement starts, not after.

The full position is on Trust & Compliance, not described selectively here.

FAQ

What funds ask us

Introductions to the portfolio companies for whom the India question is live, and your candour about which ones it isn't. We'd rather have three real conversations than twenty polite ones.
